Red Bridge Announces New Customers

Web content management vendor adds new customers for Engenda, including Adaptec, the BBC, and the University of Missouri

Providence, RI -- May 7, 2004 -- Red Bridge Interactive, Inc. today announced that they have expanded their customer base for Engenda with new customers, including Adaptec, Inc. (Milpitas, CA), the BBC (London, UK), and the University of Missouri (Columbia, MO).

In general, what Red Bridge's new customers share in common is the need to efficiently enable non-technical staff to contribute content and manage sophisticated web sites. In addition, most have specialized requirements that are implemented by taking advantage of Engenda's openness and flexibility. Some examples of the latest Engenda features that have been implemented in recent new customer deployments include:

  • Browser-based WYSIWYG editor for use on both Macintosh and Windows, including Netscape / Mozilla and IE.
  • Engenda's Batch Import CLI integration with Excel, enabling non-technical users to easily import thousands of legacy pages in bulk, with the ability to assign metadata, templates, workflow and other content management parameters to content.
  • Optional standards-based page assembly environment, using XML components and templates
  • Dynamic Production Preview, enabling realtime preview from within Engenda of dynamically-composed pages that rely on other systems in production, such as JSPs, ASPs, other databases, and application servers.

Engenda delivers all the business and technical benefits that organizations need from a web content management solution, with a high ROI due to Engenda's mid-market pricing and strong out-of-the box functionality. Some customers also use Engenda to manage documents in their native format, finding that Engenda's workflow, version control, metadata and searching capabilities apply equally well to documents that are not necessarily destined for their web sites.
